With last week’s matches pulling up some entertaining spectacles and upsets, here are some predictions for FUT 21’s Team of the Week (TOTW) 22nd roster:
Formation: 3-2-3-2
Goalkeepers
- Rui Patricio (Wolves)
~ The Portuguese international produced some top-notch saves for Wolves, keeping his team on target for the 1-0 win against a very strong Leeds United side.
Defenders
- Ruben Dias (Manchester City)
~ A solid centre-back who recently joined The Citizens from Benfica this season, Dias has featured in majority of Manchester City’s title charge in the Premier League, including back-to-back wins against Everton and Arsenal.
- Alvaro Gonzalez (Marseille)
~ Spanish defender, Alvaro Gonzalez was in great form during the week, scoring one against Nice while holding the back line at the Stade de la Beaujoire, against FC Nantes.
- Robin Gosens (Atalanta)
~ Featured against an underperforming Napoli side, Gosens proved invaluable to the squad as he attacked mercilessly via the left flank, his contributions rewarded with a fine goal to his name.
Midfielders
- Casemiro (Real Madrid)
~ The Brazilian was on the score sheet for his side during the week, his goal keeping Real Madrid in touching distance from Atletico Madrid on the top of the Spanish La Liga.
- Marcel Sabitzer (RB Leipzig)
~ RB Leipzig’s sensational league form continued as Sabitzer performed tremendously at the centre of the pitch, scoring one, against Hertha BSC on Sunday.
- Harvey Barnes (Leicester City)
~ 23-year old Harvey Barnes grabbed another goal to his tally this season, as Leicester beat Aston Villa to exceed expectations for this season’s Premier League.
- Dusan Tadic (Ajax)
~ Veteran footballer, Dusan Tadic kept Ajax on track to defending their Eredivisie title claim, with three assists on a routine night against Sparta Rotterdam.
- Jadon Sancho (Borussia Dortmund)
~ The electric 20-year old gave another reason why Europe’s best are monitoring his progress closely, with a goal and an assist helping his side triumph against struggling Schalke 04.
Forwards
- Alexander Isak (Real Sociedad)
~ Hat-trick hero, Alexander Isak is staking a strong claim for his Swedish national side as his three-goal heroics pushed Deportivo Alaves closer to the relegation zone.
- Lautaro Martinez (Inter Milan)
~ Martinez gave arguably his best performance for Inter this season, as his persistent runs at the AC Milan defence during their fierce derby match concluded with his two-goal exploits at the end of a 3-0 win.
